How can I go on an augmented reality quest hunt using my Driftscape app?

Want to spice up your experience with a fun quest/scavenger hunt? Look for “#quests” in your app’s search bar - this will show you all the quests that are currently available in the app. Quests can be done on-site or from home.

Quests are represented with diamond shaped markers. Here's a tutorial video on how you can quest [with instructions following]:

  • When you select a quest, you will see a quest overview - this tells you what the quest is about, how many stops it has, and some other information you may find useful.

    • At the bottom of the overview, you will see a hint that will help you find your first stop.

    • To start your quest & begin exploring, click on the “Tap here to begin your Quest!” button at the bottom of the page.

  • You can embark on your quest both in person using our AR feature, or virtually at home!

    • To quest in person, click the AR icon (eye icon on the bottom of your screen) to get exploring! Once you get close to your stop, your phone will buzz. When you reach your stop, your phone will buzz a second time hinting that you're near it!

    • To explore from home, simply move around the map to find your next stop! Once you get close to your stop or find it, your phone will buzz.

  • If you’re having trouble finding landmarks, you can also switch to satellite view:

    • Click on the 3 horizontal dashes on the top left corner and select settings.

    • You will then see an option to toggle between map and satellite view. Switch to satellite, and exit the menu. The app will automatically refresh and you can begin questing again!
