As you test the system, you may need to clear out your points and rewards so you can continue trying out its features. To do so, simply double tap the ‘Points and Rewards’ title from the ‘My points’ view:
A couple important points to note:
The Points and Rewards system works for mobile app users and Driftscape for Web.
If a user deletes their app they will lose all the points they have collected:
This is because each app install generates a unique app id and points collected using that app are linked to its respective app id. If a user deletes their app they lose the id associated to that app install and so the points linked to that id.
When they reinstall the app it will have a new id and so they will need to recollect all the points they lost and cannot automatically transfer them over from the previous app install.
We have it in our product roadmap to create user profiles in the future which will allow us to permanently track their points and rewards for them, regardless of where they login.
While Points and Rewards works in Driftscape for Web, be aware of limitations:
Browsers and desktop computers generally do not have any way to get an exact GPS location the way mobile phones do (which have GPS sensors). As such, location based offers and rewards may not work as well in the browser.
Users can easily clear their browser cookies, to be able to reset and collect more offers and rewards.
You can not make Points offers require a password. If this is a feature you want, talk to your Driftscape support representative to add this functionality.
